If you’re interested in taking up creative writing but are not sure where to begin, then this course could be the ideal opportunity you’ve been looking for to get started and have a go at putting pen to paper.
On this course, you’ll have the opportunity to explore a range of creative writing styles and formats and learn about key elements of different types of writing. You’ll be able to experiment with writing in different styles and will learn more about how you can express your thoughts and ideas through creative writing. Your tutor will provide lots of ideas and inspiration, encouraging you to write in different formats and styles to help you to build your confidence as you begin exploring the world of creative writing.
In each session you’ll have the chance to share your work and to receive feedback from your writing group. Your tutor will also provide constructive feedback and support to help you to build confidence in expressing your ideas and to feel empowered to carry on writing and developing your skills beyond the end of your course.

This creative writing course is aimed at beginners. To get the most out of your sessions, you should come along ready to have a go and try something new.
We recommend that you bring your preferred writing equipment, such as a notebook and a pen.
