During this four-week course you will identify and develop your employability skills, helping you to improve your chances, and options in the job market.

In the first two sessions, you will work with a pottery tutor to cost out and create your own ceramic item. At the third session, we will have a visiting, local employer, who will talk to you about the skills he looks for in an employee.

You will also be asked to prepare and take part in a mock interview, where you can practice your interview skills and receive feedback.

During the final session you will work with your tutor to identify the skills you have used during your learning and add them to your C.V.

What will I learn?

You will learn:

  • Basic pottery techniques
  • How to work out costings
  • How to identify the skills you already have as well as to recognise those you need to work on
  • How to prepare answers to interview questions

How much will it cost?

This course is funded through Tailored Learning. The course is free.
